2020 Annual General Meeting – Final Resources Page
Thursday evening, the North Shore Business Improvement Area Association met for their Annual General Meeting. The meeting is the Board’s opportunity to highlight past year accomplishments, review financial performance and review Board Directorship.
“The 2020 Fiscal Year was certainly a different one for all of us in community leadership” according to Bryce Herman, President, “…yet, despite the challenges, our team rose up to face COVID and delivered a strong marketing program, combined with advocacy work through #YKAStrong and the provision of business building webinars and services for our members.”
The 2020 fiscal year remained financially viable for the organization despite the COVID environment, with some event sponsorships being rolled over to the 2021 fiscal year. “The hope is to host both Overlander’s Day and Tapestry Multicultural Festival in September, and to return to other cultural programming and member mixers later in the year.” stated jeremy Heighton, Executive Director.
The NSBIA Board was also renewed last night. While three Directors have moved on, four new visionary and community focused additions were made to our Board.
